Passionate, Innovative Music Educator
Lynda is one of only 20 teachers in Australia to be awarded the Kawai “Break Out” Award for innovative excellence in music teaching. She holds multiple qualifications, including Music Teaching degrees from Trinity College London and Berklee College in the USA, and is a certified Mentor of Teachers for the Queensland Music Teachers Association.
Beyond her credentials, Lynda’s passion is giving everyone — including neurodiverse members of our community — the opportunity to enjoy learning music. Her work as a teacher and community leader has made her a well-respected figure in the local arts scene.
Lynda’s Music Studio is also a proud patron of the arts in Douglas Shire. She and her students actively support local community organisations by performing at and promoting their events. She played a key role in organising, fundraising, and securing a $65,000 Kawai Grand Piano, gifted to Douglas Shire Council for everyone in the community to enjoy.
